Tomato, Tomahto, Apps to Oranges

Notice anything different about our website? We’ll give you a hint: it has to do with our catalog. No, we haven’t done away with any of our 100 plus automated workflows, though we are calling them by a new name. That’s righteach instance of the word, “process” on GovPilot’s site has been replaced with “application”.

A Workflow by any Other Name

It just makes more sense. According to TechTerms.com, “An application, or application program, is a software program that runs on your computer. Web browsers, e-mail programs, word processors, games, and utilities are all applications. The word "application" is used because each program has a specific application for the user. “

Indeed, each GovPilot application automates an existing local government workflow. Take GovPilot’s Pet Licensing application, for example. A digital form replaces the physical documents traditionally used to capture pet owners’ information. Preconfigured task assignment and instantaneous emails replace the manual drudgery of processing forms, collecting any associated payments and issuing licenses.

GovPilot, the government management platform, is comprised of over 100 similarly convenient GovPilot applications. Think of Microsoft Office. Microsoft Word is one application in the Microsoft Office suite.

Though GovPilot’s terminology and interface (stay tuned for more information about Jet Mode!) may change, our commitment to quality and convenience remains the same. Click the button below to view our full range of top-shelf applications!
