You can participate in the city wide garage sale for a total of 3 times, Participation in community wide sale does not count toward the allotted two/year.

In the event the inclement weather causes a scheduled sale to be cancelled, the holder of the permit shall be entitled to sale within the following two weeks, on the same day of the week as originally scheduled. In the event your sale cannot proceed on the date above, provide an alternate sale date.

Each permit issued must be prominently displayed on the premises and visible from the street upon which the sale is conducted throughout the entire period of the permitted sale.
The person to whom such permit is issued and the owner or tenant of the premises on which such sale or activity is conducted shall be jointly and severally responsible for the maintenance of good order and decorum on the premises during all hours of such sale or activity. No such persons shall permit any loud or boisterous conduct on said premises nor permit vehicles to impede the passage of traffic on any roads or streets in the area of such premises. All such persons shall obey the reasonable orders of any member of the Police or Fire Department in order to maintain the public health, safety and welfare. All permitted premises shall be subject to the ordinances of the City and shall be subject to inspection at all times by the Building inspector, Chief of Police and Fire Chief, or any of their agents or any other duly authorized representative of {[CNAME]}.
The issuance of a permit does not authorize any person to offer for sale mattresses, bedsprings, cots, lounges and sofas during any sale without first complying with the rules and regulations of {[CNAME]}'s Garage & Yard Sale application, with respect to the labeling, sterilizing and disinfecting of said mattresses, bedsprings, cots, lounges and sofas.

GENERAL REGULATIONS OF TROTWOOD CODIFIED ORDINANCE

CHAPTER 711 – HOME OR GARAGE SALES

711.07 Garage sale hours shall be conducted between the hours of 9:00am and no later than 8:00 p.m.
No garage sale shall last more than three (3) consecutive days.

711.06 No garage sale shall be conducted by the same resident or member of his/her family and/or on the same residential property more than once each 9 month period, in addition to the “Citywide Garage Sale Days.”

711.08 No home sale shall offer any merchandise for sale that has been purchased by the resident for purposes of resale at that home sale. Any new merchandise offered for sale shall be prima-facie evidence as merchandise purchased by the resident for resale at the home sale.

711.09 A sign shall be required to be placed either twenty-five feet (25’) from the nearest paved roadway or one-half the distance from the paved roadway to the structure, whichever is less. In no case shall a sign be permitted to be located in the public right-of-way.

Such sign shall be permitted for maximum three (3) day period of time.

Such sign shall not exceed four and one-half (4 ½) square feet in total area.

Such sign shall be limited to one (1) per sale site or street front of the lot upon which the sale is being conducted.

Such sign shall NOT be illuminated. No signs shall be posted on streetlight poles, telephone poles, traffic poles, or any other utility poles.
